- Q. How do I setup my own checklists?
A. You can quickly and easily setup checklists by logging into the InspectARide portal. Here is a video that shows the basics of how this works.
- Q. What type of inspections is it used for?
A. InspectARide is used to inspect any type of vehicle for any type of inspection.
- Q. Can I use more than one checklist?
A. Absolutely! There is no limit to how many checklists you can setup and use with the app.
- Q. Is there a trial?
A. Yes. You can sign up for a free 7 day trial here.
- Q. How do I setup a paid subscription when my trial ends?
A. This is very easy to do. Here is a short video that shows how.
- Q. Where are reports stored?
A. Inspection reports can be stored on your mobile device as well as in the InspectARide portal. You can access the portal here from any device (phones/tablets/desktops/laptops) with an internet browser.
- Q. How does the VIN decoder work?
A. It's simple and fast. Enter the VIN, tap a button and the basic information about the vehicle will be populated.
- Q. What is the difference between the Standard and Compact reports?
A. The Standard report creates a report that spans multiple pages and gives you the option for a cover page. The Compact report takes the same information and presents it on a single page. Here is a short video that shows the differences.
- Q. Can I add a cover page to my reports?
A. Yes. This is done by logging into your cloud account and going to 'Account Management'. Here select 'Report Settings' and you can choose to include a cover page at the beginning of your report. This is not an option with the Compact report.
- Q. How do I add my logo to my reports?
A. This is done by logging into your cloud account and going to 'Account Management'. Here select 'Report Settings' and you can change the settings related to the report which includes the ability to add in your logo.
- Q. How do I move InspectARide to a different device?
A. This is done by logging into your cloud account and going to 'Account Management'. Here select 'Device Management' where you can deactivate a device that currently is connected to the cloud. Once a device is deactivated and you have a device available you can download the InspectARide app on the new device and use your Device Credentials to connect to the cloud.

- Q. How do I add a new item to a dropdown list?
A. This is done by tapping on the 'Note' for a line in the InspectARide app. On the 'Edit Note' screen there is the option to 'Edit List'. Once you tap this you'll have the option to add items to that dropdown list.
- Q. What devices does it work on?
A. The app works iPhones, iPads and Android phone and tablets. You can access the reports that you create from any computer or mobile device with a web browser.
- Q. What is the best device to use with InspectARide?
A. There is not one device that works better than others so this mostly comes down to user preference. However, better devices will run the app faster so we do recommend using a newer device.
- Q. Do I have to have an internet connection to complete an inspection?
A. No. You do not have to have an internet connection to enter information into an inspection or add pictures. You do need an internet connection to use the VIN lookup feature, create a PDF to email, or upload your inspection to your cloud account.
- Q. Can I add pictures?
A. Yes! You can easily add pictures to your reports.
- Q. I just installed the app and it won't let me add pictures to reports. What should I do?
A. When you install the InspectARide app you must give it permission to access your camera and your camera roll/gallery. If you are not able to take and add pictures to your reports then you will need to go into the permission settings on your device and make sure InspectARide has the proper permissions.
